Can I Whiten Stained Teeth Naturally?
My teeth are stained yellow and I was hoping you might be able to tell me a natural way to whiten them. I have tried different toothpastes, but the results have been disappointing.
First, I would have them checked by your dentist. A good cleaning may be all that’s needed. However, there are two ways to whiten teeth naturally that you can try at home:
- Brush with a mixture of 50 percent salt and 50 percent baking soda and then rinse your mouth with diluted hydrogen peroxide (¼ cup of water and ½ cup of over-the-counter hydrogen peroxide).
- Brush your teeth with charcoal powder (from a drug store) or fresh strawberries. Brushing with strawberries sounds strange, but it does help whiten teeth. Just put a strawberry on your toothbrush and brush as you normally would!
