What Do You Recommend for Angina Pain?
Perhaps you can help me. I continue to have bouts of angina pain even though I've increased my intake of vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, hawthorn berry, vitamin B6, and others. I'm sure the angina will improve with time, but could you make any additional suggestions?
Angina is a common problem. In some cases, I've had very good results relieving stubborn angina pain using the Indian herb Terminalia arjuna, commonly known as arjuna in Ayurvedic medicine.
Arjuna is used as a general heart tonic and may lower your blood pressure, so be aware of that particularly if you're taking medication for high blood pressure. It also reduces the "stickiness" of blood platelets so it may increase clotting time. The particular brand I like is Himalaya Herbs, which can be found online and in many larger health food stores.
Arjuna has also been found to be helpful in lowering LDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL levels. In addition to reducing high blood pressure, it has also been used successfully in treating congestive heart failure.
