Natural Egg Membrane for Bone and Joint Pain

When eating a hardboiled egg you have probably seen, at some point, a thin white skin on your egg or the inside of the shell. This is the eggshell membrane, and it has always been known by natural medicine enthusiasts as a powerful healing aid. For example, this membrane can be put on small cuts to promote wound healing, and can even help with acne. Most significantly, however, eggshell membrane has been found to outperform traditional bone and joint medications like glucosamine!

Natural Egg Membrane for Bone and Joint Pain?

Back in 2009, the National Institute of Health published a study about natural eggshell membrane (NEM), as a natural therapy for bone and joint pain.

The study stated, “NEM contains naturally occurring glycosaminoglycans and proteins essential for maintaining healthy joint and connective tissues. Two single center, open-label human clinical studies were conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NEM® as a treatment for pain and inflexibility associated with joint and connective tissue disorders.”

The results of the human trial were significant and positive, in that patients reported increased flexibility and decreased pain within 7 days and the treatment response continue through 30 days. They also reported no side effects.

Where Do You Get Natural Egg Membrane?

Look for NEM as an ingredient in any of your bone and joint supplements. You can also take NEM as a stand alone supplement.

Now It's Your Turn: Have you tried NEM?
