Healthy Butter
Make these simple additions to your butter to help manage cholesterol
Here's an excellent tip for making your butter—yes, butter—healthier. Simply blend one pound of butter with:
- 1 cup of unprocessed safflower oil
- ½ cup of granular lecithin
Blend until smooth, then refrigerate or freeze.
The addition of safflower oil, which is rich in lecithin and the essential fatty acid linoleic acid (LA), helps keep cholesterol in the normal range. However, always use butter in moderation.
