My baby has a problem with colic and nothing seems to help. Do you have any tricks up your sleeve for colic?

For ages, people in Europe have been using fennel seeds or leaves to relieve gas problems. For colicky children, they make a tea using either two teaspoons of seeds or one teaspoon of crushed leaves to every one cup of water.

Boil the water, then let the fennel steep in the water for 10 minutes. Strain and remove the fennel. For small ones, it is recommended that the tea be diluted with water and cooled before using. Ground fennel seeds or leaves can also be sprinkled directly on food to prevent gas problems in adults.
