The Conventional Treatment of Choice for Constipation

Learn how most doctors treat constipation symptoms—if they treat them at all

Many doctors still don’t recognize constipation symptoms as a serious health problem, and therefore they offer little guidance when it comes to treatment options for relieving constipation. As long as you are moving your bowels as little as three times per week, most consider your bowel habits adequate and normal. And for those doctors who do suggest treatment for constipation symptoms, commercial fiber laxatives such as Citrucel and Metamucil are the primary recommendation.

As far as I'm concerned, since you eat two or three meals every day, you should be having two or three bowel movements daily. Otherwise, you have a constipation problem. And for those who do suffer from constipation symptoms, I have a number of simple, all-natural treatments for relieving constipation.
